Oodles of [Korean] Noodles

Instant noodles have long been among my favorite impulse buys for the basic reason that they give me  both a quick way to get breakfast (or lunch, depending on my mood) and a little taste of dishes from distant shores.

While local brands and varieties like Ho-mi‘s instant pancit palabok or chicken barbecue flavored pancit canton are tops, my true noodle allegiance has been pledged to those from the Far East.  Sau Tao makes the nicest oat-based instant noodles in broth and I can never say no to just about any variant of Nissin‘s ramen.  Of late, however, my tastebuds have been hankering for the spicier hit of Korean noodles.
