Not Quite a Whale of a Tail

“What the hell is that?” my sister and I asked when our mother plunked down the tray on our table in the food court.

“It’s a tail section of tuna,” Mom declared.  “Deep-fried till crisp!  Just P 150.00!”

Yes, indeedy, it’s a fried tuna tail from the Davao Tuna Grill stall.  Not a bad deal at its price, seeing how it comes with a cup of rice and a small bowl of pinakbet.

It went down a treat with the small dish of soy sauce, siling labuyo, and kalamansi – at least, the bits my sister and I got to taste.  Dad managed to finish the whole monstrous thing solo!  😛
