Even if you just sort of follow the instructions I will give you for making strawberry shortcake from whatever sweet odds and ends you have in your refrigerator, I assure you that there is no way that it will turn out bad.
Just place slices of buttery pound cake on a small serving dish and spoon on a generous amount of strawberry jam. Cover the dish and microwave for 25 – 30 seconds. Finish it off with a generous sprinkle of toasted almonds and a couple scoops of vanilla ice cream and you’re set. 😉
