Just a quick post for today! Currently at your neighborhood Starbucks: the creme brulee macchiato and its Frappucino counterpart.
These sippers have a darker caramel syrup than the one used for the regular caramel macchiato and the caramel coffee frap, hence the smokier, darker taste which is reminiscent of piloncillo, muscovado, and molasses. Plus, there is a stronger hit of vanilla – and I suspect there’s actual vanilla bean involved somewhere here – than the usual.
Not exactly my drink of choice (I’d definitely go back to my caramel macs after this!), but both are quite nice and are a refreshing change.
