In Which the Post-shopping Supper Gets Fishy…

Salmon Fry Set

JiPan has long been my Holiday Season go-to for mid-shopping-frenzy pick-me-ups or for fortifying suppers to get one over the weary hour between the end of the workday and heading home.

While I usually grab beef curry or Hamburg steaks with rice, I decided to get something lighter but nevertheless fortifying last week.  The salmon fry set involves a breadcrumbed and deep-fried salmon fillet served with Japanese coleslaw, rice, and a lemony sauce tartare on the side.  I certainly recommend it to those of you who want something substantial and healthy.



Midge started her career in PR writing at seventeen when she began drafting documentaries for a government-run television station in the Philippines.
