Very Good Taste’s Omnivore’s 100

Fancy a bit of sea urchin, darlin?
Fancy a bit of sea urchin, darlin'?

The Omnivore’s 100 List over at the British food blog Very Good Taste was created to present the 100 foods all red-blooded foodies (or omnivores, whichever you’d like to be called) should taste at least once in their lifetimes.  It’s a very interesting, oftentimes unusual list, really, and just proves that if something is even remotely edible, someone’s bound to eat it, even enjoy it.

Stel of baby rambutan tagged me for this particular meme-list, by the way.  (Her recent posts on after-school yumyums for her young brood are enchanting!)

The rules are very simple:

1) Copy this list into your blog or journal, including these instructions.
2) Bold all the items you’ve eaten.
3) Cross out any items that you would never consider eating.
4) Optional extra: Post a comment over at Very Good Taste linking to your results.

Oh, and Stel also tagged me for the Six Random Things About Me meme.  So, here goes:

  1. I didn’t really learn how to cook or bake till after college.  My Home Ec teachers in grade school, high school, and college said I’d never learn; look at me now…
  2. I hate horror movies.
  3. My favorite colors are shades of pink and red.
  4. I always keep at least one bar of dark chocolate in my bag.
  5. My high school principal told me I would never amount to much.  Boy, am I glad I proved the depraved monk wrong.
  6. I take a magnesium salt supplement every day.  (Long story, but let’s just say it’s done wonders.)

All that said, I tag the following: Nix, Connie, Nicquee, Iska, Ate Lara, and Shella.
